My Wii remote batteries were dying the last time I did workout four so apparently it didn't register so I just had to do it again! BOO!!! This of course meant I had to suffer through another brutal session of lunges and squats! Thank goodness the next workout focuses on my arms!
The timing and the calories burned is a little less on my second round of "workout four" because I just got in from running Week 4, Run 2 of the c25k. Since the first exercise of the Wii Challenge is running/walking, I skipped it. Sue me!

Howdy Folks!
It's been a busy few days here so I didn't get a chance to write yesterday (or catch up on all of you!). I just wanted to let you know I'm still going strong on the c25k and the Wii EA Sport Active 30 day Challenge!
I ran my first run of week four yesterday and ran for a total of 16 minutes!!! WOO-HOO!!!!!! I've come to really realize this running/exercise thing is all a huge mind game. I just kept repeating, "if a 375lb man can do this, so can I" to myself and it worked. I made it through. YAY!!!!! Now am I looking forward to my next run? Not particularly (hey, I'm just being honest here), but I am determined more than ever now that I have my running date to kick a little ass, so here's to many great runs ahead!
This morning I watched a bit too much tv (multiple episodes of United States of Tara via castTV) and then got off my duff and went and did my 4th session of the 30 day challenge. Today was a bit tough. First because it's been 3 days since I've done it, and secondly because today was a lot of lower leg stuff. Lunges, squats, jumping lunges, more squats, all the good stuff. I know my duff will thank me, but I'm beat...and I still have it set to easy! lol... god help me when I get to level medium!
Food wise, I haven't been a really good girl. I had ice cream, french fries and a boston cream donut. ugh...but if it's any consolation, I did realize that the fries were nasty and the boston cream donut felt as if it was full of chemicals. Wish I could say that stopped me from eating them, but sadly not. Some day my friends, some day!
Anyway, this weekend the plan is to get some groceries so I'll have no excuse to go and make bad choices again. I found a great veg. recipe site recently that gives the calorie content so I might see if I can make something from there. That way I can track it properly when I eat it unlike the other meals I've made lately.
Anyway, that's it for now folks. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Chow for now!

Jiggle Jiggle
Last night I got in Week 3, Run 2 of the C25K. The last 60 seconds, of the last three minute run was tough, but I did it! I ran on the road this time, and can I just tell you, I felt super runner cool! I was thinking "oh yeah, who's the runner now?" but as soon as I thought that, it was time to walk. This lead me to mosey onto the sidewalk. I still think people would wonder what the hell a girl was walking on the road for if I stayed there. I really shouldn't give a damn what people are thinking, but I'm not there yet. It was a gorgeous day yesterday. The sun was shinning which of course brought out my shadow. Oh my dear shadow. How I wish I didn't see you! ugh....jiggle, jiggle jiggle. My mouth dropped. I instantly wanted to quit so I didn't have to see that nasty shadow, but then I realized that wouldn't help the situation in the long run now would it? After all I want that jiggly ass to be one firm bottom in the coming weeks and running is going to help me get it.
I'm NOT looking forward to week 4 (the first 5 minute run). I'm going to do the last run of week 3 and if I don't feel I'm ready I might repeat week 3 over again. We'll see. Usually after the third run I'm ready to go on to the next week, but jumping from 3 minutes to 5 is HUGE! Okay, well maybe not for you marathon runners, but for this girl it is just crazy. What happen to the 4 minute mark? I like the number 4!
This morning I woke up early and went and volunteered. I groomed a few horses, wash and braided some tails for the first time (I think I was more wet than the tails!) and of course picked up some poop! Oh glorious poop. How my life revolves around you. I had a great time as always though and look forward to going back. I was just informed they have bought a new horse named "Suzy" who will be their lesson horse, so who knows....I might be riding soon! I've wanted to get back into riding and maybe now is my chance!
After coming home and having another black bean burger. I completed day three of my EA Sport Active 30 day Challenge. It was a pretty fast and easy upper body workout today. Regardless, I know I'll be feeling it tomorrow.
Tonight I'm going to a dinner union meeting and then to yoga with a friend. We're going to try out vinyasa. I honestly have no idea what I'm in for, but here's hoping I'll be able to move tomorrow!

The tracking starts now
Day one of myfitnesspal didn't go so bad. I stayed within my calories (thanks to working out) and found tracking pretty easy. Sure it took some time to add in the foods I was eating, but so what! A girl has to do, what a girl has to do. After all, this is suppose to be a weight loss blog. It's not a talk about weight loss, but never actually lose weight kind of blog (which lets face it, it kind of has been for awhile).
I was below my calories, was over my carbs and fibre, but didn't get in enough fat, protein and iron. It's going to be a challenge to make sure I get everything in like I should, but here's hoping I can figure it all out. One thing I did realize though is.....remember those wonderful rice noodles I made? Well....I looked at the package in the store and saw 180cal so bought them. I didn't notice until after I ate my lunch and 1cup of noodles that 180cal was for 1/3cup!!!!! OOPS!!!!!
This afternoon after making my not so wonderful green monster, and eating my left over Phad Thai I ended up doing a bunch of house cleaning. I then decided to suck it up and do a session of EA Sport Active for Wii (damn rice noodles). I decided that I'm going to try to do the 30 day challenge. I set my challenge on easy (for fear of death on any other level) and began my workout. It started to my surprise with a run! I then did lovely (who am I kidding they aren't lovely!) squats, side lunges, bicept curls, tricep curls etc...etc.... I got to say I did better than I have done in the past, but I was still feeling it by the end. The end came quickly though. Almost too quick. Only 16 minutes later. LOL....
I might like this 30 day challenge after all!
This evening I went to the track with a friend and ran week 3, run 1 of C25K. Well stick your hand up in the air because I need a high 5! This girl just ran for a full three minutes tonight!!! Oh yeah, I'm rocking it! This session went like this.....run for 90sec /walk for 90/run for 3 MINUTES/walk for ???/Run for 90/walk for 90/ Run again for 3 minutes and I did it! I'm so pleased with myself. It was hard, but totally doable at the same time. The only thing that started hurting a bit was my shins. I really need those rest days in between. Today was suppose to be a rest day, but I decided to run anyway, because I work all weekend.
Overall, I had a great day today. I feel more in control than I have in a LONG time and it feels great. I can't wait to get stronger and skinnier and more importantly healthier in the future. It's been a long time coming and I deserve it dammit!
